摘要： 본 발명은 디지털 멀티미디어 시스템에서의 지역 방송 제공 방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에서는 주 방송 시스템으로부터 생성되어 방송되는 제1 전송 스트림를 수신하고 이로부터 주 방송 스트림들을 추출하고, 지역 방송 서비스를 위한 데이터들에 대응하는 지역 방송 스트림들을 제공받는다. 주 방송 스트림들과 지역 방송 스트림들을 각각 다중화하여 설정 규격을 가지는 제1 계층 신호 및 제2 계층 신호를 각각 생성한다. 특히 제1 계층 신호는 지역 방송 서비스를 위한 데이터가 있음을 알리는 지역 방송 알림 정보가 삽입되어 있다. 이러한 제1 및 제2 계층 신호는 변조되어 전송되며, 특히 제1 전송 스트림과는 다른 주파수 대역을 통하여 전송된다.

무선마이크를 통해 발생된 음원신호는 무선수신기를 통해 수신되어 실별방송장치내 파워앰프를 통해 증폭되어 스피커를 통해 방송되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방송장치이다.
