    • PURPOSE: An electronic learning apparatus and a learning content providing method for learning words are provided to pronounce a word to be learned by syllable and to visually show the word in syllable units. CONSTITUTION: An electronic learning apparatus for learning words comprises a touch input part(100), a display part(300), a written letter recognizing part(200), a voice output part(400), a voice input part(500), and a controller. The touch input part senses letters written by users. The display part displays a word to be learned or the written letter sensed by the touch input. The written letter recognizing part recognizes the written letter sensed by the touch input part in a spelling unit, a syllable unit, and a word unit. The voice output part outputs the written letter sensed by the touch input part by syllable in real time. When the spelling of the written word sensed by the touch input part is different from the spelling of the word to be learned, the controller controls the voice output part so that it does not pronounce syllables of the written word. The controller controls the display part to remove the corresponding spelled word after visually classifying the word.
