    • A magnetic moment measuring apparatus is provided to increase measurement precision by measuring magnetic moment of a magnetic body while maintaining the original shape and size of the magnetic body. In a magnetic moment measuring apparatus, a coil(10) has a space for receiving and rotating a magnetic body(20) while keeping the original shape and size of the magnetic body. A power source(Vs) for sending current(I) to the coil is separated from the coil. A resistor(R) is installed between the power source and the coil. A voltmeter(30) measures voltage delivered to the resistor. A magnetic flux sensor(40) is installed in the center of the coil to detect the magnetic flux density of the center of the coil. A magnetic flux density measuring instrument(50) is installed at the outside of the coil and connected with the magnetic flux sensor to measure the magnetic flux density of the center of the coil detected by the magnetic flux sensor. A transfer device(60) has a magnetic body fixer(62) installed in the front end of a non-magnetic rotary rod(61) to fix the magnetic body, inserts the magnetic body by moving the rotary rod to the center of the coil while the power source and the magnetic flux sensor are separated from the coil, and rotates the magnetic body in the front end of the rotary rod at the specific angle in a horizontal direction to the axial direction. A fluxmeter(70) measures magnetic flux generated due to the magnetic body connected with the coil while the power source and the magnetic flux sensor are separated from the coil, and inserted into the center of the coil or due to the magnetic body inserted into the center of the coil and then rotated at the specific angle.

    • A method and an apparatus for classifying a base metal of an eddy current sensor are provided to improve accuracy of the eddy current sensor by compensating an error of the sensing result due to different properties of the base metal. An apparatus for classifying a base metal of an eddy current sensor includes a current/voltage measuring unit, an impedance/phase difference measuring unit, an inductance/actual resistance measuring unit, and a classifying unit. The current/voltage measuring unit measures the current and voltage of an eddy current sensor coil unit. The impedance/phase difference measuring unit measures the impedance and phase difference of the eddy current sensor coil unit. The inductance/actual resistance measuring unit extracts the variation of the inductance and actual resistance of the eddy current sensor coil unit. The classifying unit compares the variation of the inductance/actual resistance of the eddy current sensor coil unit with impedance variation data of the eddy current sensor coil unit to classify the base metal for the eddy current sensor.
