    • PURPOSE: A method for restoring a session at a diameter server is provided to restore the existing activated session used by a subscriber in the case of losing session information of the subscriber due to a failure of a system and manage a dynamic address of the subscriber even after restoring the session of the subscriber. CONSTITUTION: A diameter server transmits activated session information to adjacent diameter nodes at a point when a session of a subscriber is activated(501). The diameter server inquires session information to the adjacent diameter node and receives responses from the adjacent diameter node(503-505). The diameter server stores the received session information by nodes(507). The diameter server classifies the stored session information by nodes according to session identifiers(509-513). The diameter server extracts and stores the session information to be restored, by using subscriber information(515-527).

    • PURPOSE: A method for accepting dual protocol by using protocol identifier is provided to accept TCAP protocol based upon both ITU-T and ANSI standard in a switching system. In addition, a method is provided to format TCAP protocol freely in a switching system by using TCAP protocol identifier. CONSTITUTION: TCAP protocol identifier in the database(210) is selected by a main processor(101) when ROLE(200) for processing TCAP/ASE is loaded. If the selected value is TRUE, A parameter, Fu_AnsiTCAP=TRUE, is set and the value of the parameter is granted to the two remaining processors(102,103). When a message transmission request is received from the AP by the processor(102), MAP parameter is encoded by the MAP parameter encoding part(104). After encoding, it is determined if ANIS or ITU-T TCAP is encoded. If the value of Fu_AnsiTCAP is TRUE, a ANSI TCAP protocol is produced in the processor(202) and a NUDTreq message is transmitted to the SCCP stage(110). If FALSE, a ITU-T protocol is encoded in the ITU-T TCAP part(201) and transmitted to the SCCP stage(110).
