    • A set of reference moisture value of the plurality of sample skin is measured with conventional skin moisture measuring device. Then a set of standard calibration equation is provided from calculating a set of measured reflectance spectra of calibration and the set of reference moisture value by using the multivariate regression, and it is stored at a memory. The next steps are to measure skin moisture of test skin with reference to the set of standard calibration equation stored at the memory. By radiating near infrared on the test skin and sensing a set of reflectance spectra with the portable skin moisture measuring apparatus by using near infrared reflectance spectroscopy system, the skin moisture is measured at a repeatable and stable way, regardless of the variation of temperature or humidity of the external circumstance.

    • PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for measuring moisture of skin using NIRS(near infrared reflectance spectroscopy) are provided to achieve stable and reproducible skin moisture measurement, and to minimize the size of the measuring apparatus, thus improving the convenience of carrying thereof. CONSTITUTION: The method for measuring moisture of skin using NIRS comprises the steps of; looking reference moisture data about various kinds of skin by using a skin moisture measuring instrument; checking near infrared rays about the various kinds of skin; sensing a reflection spectrum of the near infrared rays from the various kinds of skin; dividing the spectrums into a calibration set and a validation set by using a random sorting method; looking a standard calibration curve about the various kinds of skin via the partial least squares regression of the reflection spectrum of the calibration set and the reference moisture data; correcting the standard calibration curve by using the validation set; converting the corrected standard calibration curve into digital data, and saving it; checking near infrared rays of a person; sensing a reflection spectrum of the near infrared rays reflected from the skin of the person; and measuring moisture density of the skin of the person by substituting the sensed reflection spectrum for the saved standard calibration data.
