    • A print head, a head cartridge and a printer using one of the print head and the head cartridge are provided to reduce the number of input pads so as to minimize the increase in the size and cost of the printer. A print head(3) includes a logic circuit(504), a differential input circuit(503) and input pads. The logic circuit drives a plurality of printing elements by a plurality of logic signals. The differential input circuit generates the plurality of logic signals to drive the logic circuit based on a differential signal inputted from an external device. The differential signal is acquired by superposing at least two logic signals and inputted through the input pad. The differential input circuit includes a disassembling circuit for disassembling the differential signal into individual logic signals.

    • An ink jet recording apparatus, which is provided with the control circuit (234) that controls the recording operation using a recording head (1105), and the driving circuit (232) that drives the recording head (1105), comprises the power supply portion (238) of a serial interface (250) to supply power to the control circuit (234) with a first voltage value, and a second voltage output circuit (201) for supplying power to the driving circuit (232) with a second voltage value. With the structure thus arranged, it becomes possible to utilize the power supply (238) from the interface (250) for driving the control circuit (234) of the recording apparatus, while the power supply (201) of the recording apparatus is dedicated as the power source for driving the recording head (1105), hence materializing a smaller power supply circuit, and cost down as well.

    • PURPOSE: A transferring method of information to a printhead and its apparatus are provided to reduce the cost of the printhead. CONSTITUTION: An inkjet printing system includes an inkjet printhead having a plurality of electrical contacts, address contacts and enable contacts for enabling drop generators and drive current contacts for providing drive current to enable drop generators for selectively ejecting ink therefrom. A printing device provides periodic address signals(A(1-13)) and enable signals(E(1-2)) to the address and enable contacts one the printhead. In addition, the printing device selectively applies drive current(P(1-16)) to accomplish forming images on print media. Each individual heating element is controlled by a drive circuit comprising three FET(Field Effect Transistor). By controlling the first and second signals(E(1,2)), and the address signal(A(1)), the switching device is selectively activated to conduct current through the heating element if drive current is present from drive source(P(1)).

    • PURPOSE: A device and a method for driving an inkjet print head are provided to easily manufacture a system even though a multi-head is used and to easily control driving waves for driving an inkjet printer head. CONSTITUTION: A device for driving an inkjet print head comprises a control unit(110), a level switching unit(120), and a driving unit(140). The control unit generates pulse control signals for driving an inkjet print head. The level switching unit switches and operates according to the pulse control signals, thereby outputting signal switching signals of a predetermined level. The driving unit selectively controls a plurality of nozzles by using driving waves generated by combining the switching signals.
