    • PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to improve the strength of a welding joint plane in a negative electrode to be the same as the strength of welding joint plane in a positive electrode by forming welding points with a high density on the welding joint plane in the negative electrode. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly in which a positive electrode plate with a positive electrode tap, a negative electrode plate with a negative electrode tap, and a separator are alternately laminated; a pouch type external material accepting the electrode assembly; a positive electrode lead which is electrically connected to the negative electrode tap by being welded with the negative electrode lead; and a negative electrode lead which is electrically connected to the negative electrode tap by being welded with the negative electrode lead. The density of welding points(361) formed on welding joint sides(380) of the negative electrode tap and the negative electrode lead is higher than the density of welding points(351) formed in welding joint sides(370) of the positive electrode lead and the positive electrode tap.

    • PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to improve mechanical strength of a weld part where an electrode tap and an electrode lead are weld-connected to each other, thereby being capable of preventing damages to a secondary battery from external impacts. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly in which a positive electrode tap with a positive electrode tap, a negative electrode plate with a negative electrode tap, and a separator are alternately laminated; a pouch external material accepting the electrode assembly; positive and negative electrode leads which are electrically connected to the positive electrode and negative electrode by welding respectively. The density of welding points(351,361), formed on respective welding joint planes(370,380) of the positive electrode lead and negative electrode lead, is less in the middle of the welding joint plane and becomes higher going outward towards both sides.
