    • PURPOSE: A method for isolating a fraction with an anti-obesity activity from Yukeuigambitang (kind of oriental medicine) is provided to obtain a food which prevents obesity by being added to an anti-obesity food. CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating a fraction with an anti-obesity activity from Yukeuigambitang comprises the steps of: extracting Yukeuigambitang containing Cinnamomum cassia Blume, adlay, Poria cocos, safflower, and Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fischer with ethanol; concentrating by reduced pressure; suspending in distilled water to obtain a suspension; extracting the suspension with dichloromethane and separating into a dichloromethane-soluble part and a dichloromethane-insoluble part; injecting the dichloromethane-soluble part onto MPLC (UV 254nm) and a redisep normal-phase flash column; sequentially developing with a solvent (CH_2Cl_2 : MeOH = 50:1-1:1) containing dichloromethane and methanol to sequentially fraction peaks detected at MPLC UV 254nm; and obtaining C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C8, C9, and C10 fractions and obtaining C5, C6, and C7 fractions with an antiobesity activity among C1, C2, C3, C4, C5, C8, C9, and C10 fractions.

    • PURPOSE: An antiobese composition and food including the same are provided to be effectively used in suppressing obesity as the composition showed an anti-obesity effect when used in mice. CONSTITUTION: An antiobese composition is an extract that is manufactured by mixing 25 to 35 wt% of Coix lacryma-jobi, 10 to 20 wt% of Poria cocos, 5 to 15 wt% of glycyrrhizae radis, 15 wt% of Carthamus tinctorius, and the rest portion of Cinnamomum loureirii, adding the mixture in refined water of 5 to 20 times the weight of the mixture, heat-extracting the mixture at a temperature of 90 to 110>= for 1 to 3 hours, and filtering the resultant.
