    • The present invention relates to a range hood system and a control method thereof. The range hood system comprises: a range hood for discharging smell and smoke generated from a burner by an exhaust fan; a sensor disposed on the range hood for sensing the surroundings; a stop button for driving the exhaust fan; and a control unit for pausing a motor of the exhaust fan if the stop button is pressed at first by detecting the operating status of the stop button and a detection value inputted from the sensor, and for differentially driving the motor of the exhaust fan on the basis of the detection value of the sensor if the stop button is pressed secondly.

An extracted signal(E) is extracted from an original image(I) having an XxY size using a watermark detector. The signal(E) includes a signal(E') having autocorrelation with a period. The signal(E') is mixed with a periodic watermark(W), and the mixed signal is inserted into the original image. The watermark detector uses a Wiener filter. The signal(E') is composed as projected vectors(V1'-VN') to increase cross-correlation between the vectors.
