    • PURPOSE: An over current protection circuit for a transistor of a power amplifier is provided to rapidly prevent the damage to the transistor due to an instantaneous over current signal by applying a voltage for protecting gate voltage to a voltage input terminal between a gate and a source through a current sensor, a comparator, and a switch. CONSTITUTION: A current sensor(200) senses a current which is applied to a drain of a transistor of a power amplifier from a power supply unit(100). The current sensor outputs the sensed current as a voltage. A comparator(300) compares the voltage outputted from a current sensor with a reference voltage and outputs the compared signal. A switch(500) is switched by the over current signal outputted from the comparator. The switch converts the drain voltage of the transistor into the voltage protected from the over current state. The switch outputs the converted voltage into the voltage input terminal between a drain and a source.
