摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker which can be manufactured inexpensively and its current contact can be protected from injury due to arc. SOLUTION: The circuit breaker is equipped with an arc extinction chamber 2 filled with a sulfur hexafluoride gas and extended to the longitudinal axis 3. The arc extinction chamber 2 is operated by a drive rod 4 which moves a central contact pin 14 and a rated current contact 11. The drive rod 4 is arranged so that the contact pin 14 stays at a first dead center at the beginning of the cutoff process. Thereafter, the contact pin 14 can move in the cutoff direction at a middle speed faster than that of the rated current contact 11. The contact pin 14 can reach the cutoff point after the rated current contact 11 completes its cutoff motion. While the connection arc is early ignited at the beginning of the connection process, the rated current contact 11 stays at a second dead center and therefore is protected from the damage due to arc.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-blast circuit-breaker capable of ensuring insulating performance at a short inter-contact-shoe distance, and reducing the driving energy of the gas-blast circuit-breaker. SOLUTION: This gas-blast circuit-breaker is constituted so that wherein a movable current-carrying contact 6 and an opposite current-carrying contact 10 are oppositely arranged in a vessel filled with an arc-extinguishing gas, and the arc-extinguishing gas in a puffer chamber 3 can be compressed to be led to an insulated nozzle 5, then is sprayed on an arc generated between opposite arc contact 9 and a movable arc contact 1, to extinguish the arc. Insulating performance can be sufficiently retained even an inter-pole distance is shortened, also driving energy too can be reduced; because in this constitution in this case, the contact 9 is arranged on the center axis of the breaker, also a shield electrode 13, having electric potential same as that of the contact shoe 10, is coaxially arranged with the contact 10 (arranged coaxially with the contact shoe 9) between, and the shield electrode 13 can be moved to the contact shoe 6 side together with the movement of the contact 10.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker for electric power with which the current flowing condition in a range between an arc region and a heating region is remarkably improved. SOLUTION: This circuit breaker for electric power is provided with an arc extinguishing chamber filled with an insulator medium and extended along the center axial line 2. The electric current flowing paths are formed on the center axial line 2 and kept at a constant, gap from each other and provided with two burning contactor structure bodies 5, 6 forming an arc region. The arc extinguishing chamber is further provided with a heating region 13 connected with the arc region and a cross-linking contactor which electrically connects the burning contactor structure bodies 5, 6 in connection state. The cross-linking contactor is installed at the center of the insides of the burning contactor structure bodies 5, 6. A circular gap 36 directly opened to the heating region is kept between the burning contactor structure bodies 5, 6.
