    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which magnetically records information by a completely new idea without using a magnetic field generator for recording, and can reproduce a recording bit smaller than a spot diameter of light.SOLUTION: In the optical information recording medium which is formed by sequentially stacking a first dielectric layer 2, an oxidation W-Mo (tungsten-molybdenum) layer 3 that becomes a recording layer, a first magnetic layer 4, a second magnetic layer 5, a second dielectric layer 6 and a protection layer 7 on a substrate 1, the shape of the oxidation W-Mo layer 3 is slightly changed by a heat applied by a laser beam and information is recorded in the oxidation W-Mo layer, and the shape change is converted into perpendicular magnetization of the first magnetic layer 4 which has been formed in contact with the oxidation W-Mo layer 3. Accordingly, the optical information recording medium can record magnetic information without a magnetic field generator, and makes the second magnetic layer 5 reproduce the recorded information.
