    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve various malfunctions of a machine gun, wherein the malfunctions are such that a rise time is prolonged when a motor torque is made small since the moment of inertia of a cam drum is constant, a fluctuation of the rotating speed of a cam drum is caused by a fluctuation of a force necessary for driving a bolt so that a closing time tends to become short, and the fluctuation of the rotation of the cam drum becomes a cause of generation of vibrations. SOLUTION: A plurality of weight members 11 which have a given mass respectively are disposed and arranged radially in a cam drum 9, while the radial movement of these might members 11 are guided by guide portions 9c. A plurality of elastic members 10 are provided in a cam drum 9 for radially and inwardly biasing the night members 11, wherein the biasing force of each elastic member 10 is set such that the elastic member 10 is elastically urged by the weight member 11 which receives a centrifugal force before the rotating speed of the cam drum 9 reaches a speed which provides at least a maximum shooting speed of the machine gun.

    • PURPOSE:To perform a smooth and efficient driving of a bolt for a long period of time without making any complex shape of a cam groove. CONSTITUTION:A cam drum 8 is constructed such that many cam grooves 10 are formed, and a bolt part 4 is driven to be reciprocated with one cycle of advancing, stopping, retracting and stopping under its two-rotations. A cam follower 11 is provided with a yoke-shaped supporting shaft 17 having a pair of yokes 20. The yoke-shaped supporting shaft 17 is rotatably arranged and each of the yokes 20 is engaged with the cam grooves 10 through a rotating bearing 1..8 while being rotated and contacted with them. As the cam drum 8 is rotated, each of the yokes 20 is moved while being rotatably contacted with the cam grooves 10 through the rotating bearing 18, its forward or rearward movement is transmitted to the bolt part 4 through the yoke-shaped supporting shaft 17 so as to reciprocate the bolt 4. Since the cam follower 11 and the cam grooves 10 are rotatably contacted from each other, abrasion of respective member is less, the bolt part 4 is driven stably, smoothly and efficiently for a long period of time and so a location where an inclining angle of the cam grooves 10 is not necessary to be widened.
