    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform output switching, in a multiple output switching mechanism for transmitting a rotary drive force from a drive source only to an output gear meshed with an intermediate gear of a plurality of output gears, by preventing a meshing failure due to interferences between tooth tips of the intermediate gear and output gear.SOLUTION: An output gear 8 is freely fitted to an output shaft 9 so as to be displaceable radially and circumferentially from a radial neutral position and a circumferential neutral position. Three first torque transmitting walls 8d disposed on an inner circumferential surface 8c of the output gear at circumferentially equal intervals and three second torque transmitting walls 9a disposed on an outer circumferential surface 9d of the output shaft at circumferentially equal intervals are torque-transmittable. The output shaft has an aligning cam portion 9b which abuts on a tip portion 8e of the first torque transmitting wall, when it is relatively rotated with the output gear, to automatically align the output shaft, and a sponge member 10 is provided between each output gear and each output shaft to retain the output gear at the radially neutral position and circumferentially neutral position relative to the output shaft in a no-load state.

The coupling arms 23 are composed of spring steel sheets and a plurality of sheets are radially arranged. Even when a coaxial degree between the crankshaft 5 and the motor rotation shaft 14 is low, both are coupled without difficulty. An arm portion 43 of the coupling arm 23 has a low stiffness portion composed of a slit 70 along a tangential direction in an intermediate portion in a radial direction, which lessens stress concentration in the mounting portions on the first and the second flange plates 21, 22.
