    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the flow rate of air in a weft insertion device while maintaining stability and speeding up of weft insertion. SOLUTION: An auxiliary nozzle 10A is installed at a position of a distance P1 between an injection hole 25A and an interior wall 13A in a front zone in which an inclination angle of the interior wall 13A of a guide hole 13 is set small. An auxiliary nozzle 10B is installed at a position of a distance P2 between an injection hole 25B and an interior wall 20A in a rear zone in which an inclination angle of the interior wall 20A of a guide hole 20 is set large. The distance P1 of the auxiliary nozzle 10A is set larger than the distance P2 of the auxiliary nozzle 10B. By the constitution, an outflow of air jetted from the weft insertion nozzle and the auxiliary nozzle to the outside of the guide hole 13 in the front zone is suppressed and stability of flying position of weft and improvement in weft speed are achieved. A flow rate in a weft guide passage is increased while reducing an injection quantity of air from the auxiliary nozzle in the rear zone and the speed of weft is maintained or speeded up. Another of the stabilizing devices has a hole which is formed in an area on a reed side of the member positioned on at least one of the upper side and the lower side. Further, the other of the stabilizing devices has a cutout part which is formed in an area on the cloth fell side of the member positioned on at least one of the upper side and the lower side.
