    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder and granular material carrying vessel capable of increasing an amount of stowage of powder and granular materials by reducing a dead space in the hold of the vessel.SOLUTION: A powder and granular material carrying vessel is provided for loading powder and granular materials in the hold of the vessel comparted into multiple compartments and carrying the materials. The powder and granular material carrying vessel includes: vertical transfer means; horizontal transfer means; moving means in the hold of the vessel; loading device for loading the powder and granular materials onto the hold of the vessel; air supply means for supplying air to the moving means in the hold of the vessel; water tight means operable independently of the air supply means, provided in connections between the horizontal transfer means and the moving means in the hold of the vessel, and capable of closing the connections in a water tight state; and a control device for closing the connections in the water tight state by the water tight means and supplying the air to the moving means in the hold of the vessel by the air supply means, when controlling the loading device and loading the powder and granular materials onto the hold of the vessel.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a granular material to be smoothly discharged even when a large amount of granular material such as coal is stored in the storage of a bulk carrier or the like.SOLUTION: This storage facility for storing a granular material includes a storage part 10 which is formed in a thin and long shape in plan view, of which at least the lower part has a width at least reduced downward, and in which an opening 18 extending in a longitudinal direction at a lower end and opening toward a side part is formed. The storage part 10 includes a receiving part 16 which is provided below the opening 18 and in which the granular material flowing out from the opening 18 is deposited at an upper part. The outflow of the granular material from the opening 16 is dammed by the granular material deposited on the receiving part 16. The storage facility further includes: a raking-out means 4 for dropping the granular material deposited on the receiving part 16 from the receiving part 16; and a conveyor 6 provided at a position where the granular material dropped from the receiving part 16 drops on the upper part.

The system includes a landing conveyor expansion/contraction device 10 having: an expansion/contraction direction position sensor 8 for measuring a distance with the conveying-in hopper 6 provided on the conveying-out end 31 of the landing conveyor 3; and a control device 9 for expanding/contracting the landing conveyor by controlling the expansion/contraction mechanism 33 of the landing conveyor 3 by a measurement signal from the expansion direction position sensor 8.
