摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure the safety of a pedestrian, etc., in traveling of a vehicle by maintaining the rolling state of a wheel runaway from the vehicle side without the runaway of the wheel outside the vehicle.
SOLUTION: A wheel runaway prevention device comprises a lateral restraining member disposed opposed to the side of the wheel, and a longitudinal restraining member disposed opposed to both the longitudinal surfaces of the wheel. The lateral restraining member restrains the movement and inclination of the wheel separated from the axis end of the wheel axially outward within a predetermined range within a predetermined range. The longitudinal restraining member restrains the longitudinal movement of the wheel separated from the axis end of the wheel. With this arrangement, when the wheel is separated in traveling of the vehicle, the wheel can be prevented from moving and inclining axially outward in a predetermined range by the lateral restraining member, and from moving in the longitudinal direction by the longitudinal restraining member with in a predetermined range so that the wheel can be previously and securely prevented from falling out and running away out of the vehicle while maintaining the rolling state following the travel of the vehicle.
