    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission device formed of a simple mechanical structure which can solve a problem of tooth skipping of the rotation transmission device applying a ratchet mechanism, and provide a sheet material punching device using the same.SOLUTION: The rotation transmission device includes: a drive gear arranged on a rotating shaft; two driven gears arranged rotatably on the rotating shaft on both sides of the drive gear and movably in a shaft direction of the rotating shaft; and an energizing means which energizes the driven gears to the drive gear. The ratchet mechanism can be developed by the drive gear and driven gears. During rotation in one direction, the one driven gear meshes with the drive gear, and at the same time, the other driven gear is moved away on the rotating shaft. During rotation in the other direction, the other driven gear meshes with the drive gear, and at the same time, the one driven gear is moved away on the rotating shaft. The rotation transmission device includes a movement restricting means which prevents the driven gears from moving away in a predetermined period on each driven gear side. The sheet material punching device can switch the number of punched holes by using the rotation transmission device.
