    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure, which can easily overhaul a rotary coupling and can shorten a time necessary for changing a seal member even when a working condition of an index table having a built-in rotary coupling has been changed.
      SOLUTION: A table body 1 having a through hole 5, into which a distributor 13 and a rotary shaft 14 are inserted, is provided with a rotary table 4 on the front face thereof, which rotary table has a central hole having a diameter larger than those of the distributor 13 and the rotary shaft 14 and is rotatable with respect to the body 1, a flange on the rear face of the table body 1, which flange has a fluid passage and is assembled from the back side, a center bush 9 in the central hole on the front face of the rotary table 4 which has an aperture for fluid and is assembled from the front side. The rotary shaft 14 or the distributor 13 is assembled to the flange or the center bush 9 respectively from the inside toward the outside.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary table and a machine tool provided with the same, which rotary table can secure a high precision of its rotational motion by improving accuracy of an assembly of bearings.
      SOLUTION: The rotary table apparatus 10 has a rotary table 12 rotating with a shaft body 9 as a rotary shaft, and a supporting base 14 for rotatably supporting the rotary table 12, and is used in a machine tool 1 for machining a workpiece. The shaft body 9 has a first V shape groove 34 directly formed thereon along the its rotational direction. The supporting base 14 has a second V shape groove 32 formed therein so as to oppose to the first V shape groove 34. A plurality of rolling elements 23 are located between the shaft body 9 and the supporting base 14 so as to roll by being brought into contact with the two V shape grooves 32, 34, and further the rolling axes of respective neighboring rolling elements 23 are alternated by ±90° so as to compose a cross roller bearing 30.
