    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture imaging system switching device that effectively matches image transmitting elements of multi-functional office equipment.
      SOLUTION: When scanning is desired, the switching device 200 scans a document on a roller 210 and receives optical signals between a light beam 240 and a light beam 245. The optical signals obtained by scanning between these light beams 240 and 245 are transmitted to a reflection unit 230 through a lens 220 and reflected to a light distribution unit 270 through the lens 220, the light distribution unit 270 performs switching in accordance with the current operation demand of the switching device. When printing is performed, the switching device 200 actuates an optical transmitter 290 to transmit an optical signal to the light distribution unit 270. The light beam 260 constituted by the optical signal is transmitted to the reflection unit 230 through the lens 220. The reflection unit 230, swinging correspondingly, reflects the light beam 260 to transmit the light beam to a roller 210 through the lens 220.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize both of the reading and the recording actions of an image by one device and to make the device compact and inexpensive by constituting the device of two or more light sources whose wavelength is different and irradiating an original with only luminous flux radiated from one light source out of them. SOLUTION: A dichroic mirror 14 is provided with such a characteristic that the luminous flux having the wavelength of a semiconductor laser 1 being the light source used for recording the image is transmitted and the luminous flux having the wavelength of a semiconductor laser 11 being the light source used for reading the image is reflected. Then, the luminous flux radiated from the laser 1 and the luminous flux radiated from the laser 11 are synthesized by the mirror 14 and advanced on an identical optical path. Besides, it is dispersed by the other dichroic mirror provided with the identical characteristic to the mirror 14. Then, only the luminous flux radiated from the laser 1 is used for irradiating a photoreceptor drum and only the luminous flux radiated from the laser 11 is used for irradiating the original.

    • PURPOSE:To miniaturize the titled device, and to reduce the weight of the device by carrying recording paper and an original by the same motor, at the time of reception, transmission and copying. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reception, a motor 8 rotates in a direction as indicated with an arrow, and through a one-way clutch 14, a platen 3 rotates and recording paper 1 is fed. At the time of transmission, the motor 8 rotates in the direction reverse to the arrow, and by a contact and a friction against a gear 19, a switching lever 20 moves counterclockwise, an idler gear 21 is engaged to a gear 22, and also, a sensor roller 7 rotates through a one-way clutch 24, and an original 4 is fed. At the time of copying, the original is supplied between a sensor 5 and the roller 7 by a transmission mode, and subsequently, by exciting an electromagnet 26, a stopper 28 is turned clockwise and the motor 8 is rotated in the direction as indicated with the arrow. In such a way, the gear 21 is engaged to a gear 25, and by rotating the roller 7, the original 4 is fed. In this case, the platen 3 rotates through the clutch 14, and the recording paper is fed. Accordingly, one motor is enough, and the device is miniaturized and made light in weight.
