    • PURPOSE:To expand the variation of ON/OFF time in one cycle by multiply providing plural active surfaces having different irregular shapes respectively on a cam, and providing an operation mechanism switching reciprocally cam's plural active surfaces on a movable contact plate to the cam. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of an inversion cam 50 causes the active surfaces of a cam 50, to which the following parts 611 and 612 of levers 61 and 62 are facing, to be reciprocally switched to a high or a low stage part. Switch elements 55 and 56 become OFF when the parts 611 and 612 face the high stage part, and the element 56 becomes ON when the parts 611 and 612 face the low stage part. The element 55 and the another element 56 make an ON/ OFF action reciprocally at the 180 deg. phase difference. And the ON time width of the elements 55 and 56 is short and the OFF time width is long since the low stage part of active surfaces 51 and 53 of the cam 50 is formed in a narrow range. And the time width of ON is longer than that in the time of the action mentioned above in a given cycle of the elements 55 and 56 since the low stage part of cam active surfaces 52 and 54 is formed in the nearly 180 deg. range.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the restarting of combustion even right after combustion is stopped owing to a lapse of a scheduled time by a method wherein a switch is opened through inertia of a linkage member operated by means of a cam. CONSTITUTION:When a set timing elapses, a follower body 28 is dropped to a low stage part 27b of a cam 27 through the energizing force of a spring 49. A bell strike lever 33 and an linkage member 51 are rapidly pushed, and moved over a return position to operation positions 33b and 51b through inertia. A striker 38 of a strike lever 34 rings a bell 30. The linkage member 51 is brought into contact with the tip part of a follower lever 53 of a link lever 52, the lever is rotated to the opposite side, and the tip part of an operation lever 54 moves a moving contact sheet 16 from a stationary contact sheet 15 to an opening position. A switch 14 is opened, an attractor 10 is released from an electromagnet 11, a valve 7 is closed through the energizing force of a spring 8 to instantaneously shut off the feed of gas to a burner 5. The bell strike lever 33 and the linkage member 51 are returned to respective return positions through the energizing force of a spring 39, and the switch 14 is brought into a closed state.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce undesired power consumption by periodically checking whether or not consecutive viewing is desired by the viewer when a sleep mode reservation time set by the viewer comes to interrupt power when the viewer does not desire consecutive viewing. SOLUTION: A remote controller 1 sets various instructions and a sleep mode function to operate a video signal processor. A microcomputer 3 receives a signal from the remote controller 1 by an infrared ray reception section 2 to control the operation of various sections of a VTR, sets a sleep mode reservation time to confirm the presence of desired consecution of the viewer for a prescribed period and to control a power supply section 4 supplying power. A video processing section 5 processes a received video signal Vin under the control of the microcomputer 3 and displays the processed signal onto a screen. The sleep mode function confirms at first whether or not the sleep mode reservation time set by the viewer comes. When the reservation time comes, a message to confirm the presence of desired consecutive viewing is displayed for a prescribed period and the power supply is interrupted when no reply comes from the user.
