摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form the response patterns meeting the condition similar to a human being by recognizing the emotion included in inputted speeches, then converting the emotion into the reaction emotion of a computer character and forming the reaction patterns by the results thereof. SOLUTION: This emotion converter is provided with an emotion converting section 3 between an emotion recognizing section 1 and a reaction pattern forming section 2. The speech characteristics extracted by a speech character extracting section 11 in the emotion recognizing section 1 are inputted to an emotion recognizing section 12 where the emotion E is recognized. The emotion converting section 3 has a function to convert the emotion E into the reaction emotion R. While the emotion E is the emotion included in the input speeches, i.e., the emotion included in the speeches of the human being talking to the computer character, the reaction emotion R is the emotion that the computer character hearing the same feels. After the emotion E is converted into the reaction emotion R, the reaction patterns are formed. As a result, the condition approximate to the communication between the human beings is embodied.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make relearning processing possible with simple processing without changing a weight coefficient in neural network (DRNN) by changing weight from a virtually provided fixed unit on the basis of a specified learning rule. SOLUTION: A dummy fixed output unit for supplying each unit of DRNN with data from the outside is virtually provided. This fixed output unit continues to output the value of 1.0 at all times without being supplied with data from any other part. In relearning processing in a DRNN relearning processing part 22, bias from this fixed output unit is dealt with equally to weight without changing weight indicating mutual connecting strength between, units, and this weight is changed applying a learning rule. The bias serving as newly learned weight is stored in a second DRNN data storage part 24.

SOLUTION: As for this device, a speech signal input part 11 performs AND conversion. A feature extraction part 12 divides a digital speech signal by frames and calculates speech feature quantities of the frames of the digital speech signal. A standard data storage part 13 stores HMM of registered word speeches. A likelihood calculating part 14 calculates the output likelihood of respective HMMs correspond to the timing series of the feature quantity of the digital audio signal from the feature extraction part 12. A neural net calculation part 15 learns a neural net by using the output likelihood of each HMM calculated by the likelihood calculation part 14. A recognition result decision part 16 weights the output likelihood of each HMM by using the output value of the neural net and decides the recognition result.
