    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably obtain coarse ammonium sulfate crystal by catching the existing quantity or the existing ratio of a crystal having a certain particle diameter to exist in the crystallization kettle and to flow-in an outer circulating line and controlling the value thereof. SOLUTION: An existing quantity or an existing ratio of a crystal (primary nucleus, secondary nucleus and fine crystal) having the particle diameter to exist in a crystallization kettle and to flow in a outer circulating line is obtained by a measured result of the particle size by a particle diameter distribution measuring device or the like provided in the kettle. Alternatively, the quantity or the ratio is obtained by the result of measuring the particle diameter distribution or the slurry concentration by a particle diameter distribution measuring device or a slurry concentration detector provided in the outer circulating line. In such a case, when the existing quantity or the existing ratio of the crystal is increased, only the excess fine crystals are eliminated by intermittently or continuously supplying water in the outer circulating line. Further, the existing quantity or the existing ratio of the crystals in the kettle is controlled by changing the stirring speed of a stirrer provided in the kettle and when the quantity of the secondary nuclei or the fine crystals is increased, the stirring speed is reduced.
