    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light reflecting mirror which suppresses shake of an image and a resolution defect, which are caused by mirror oscillation, to prevent troubles such as image distortion and magnification errors due to degradation of flatness of the mirror.
      SOLUTION: A reinforcing member 34 is caused to adhere to one side or both sides of a side face in a lengthwise direction of the light reflecting mirror 21 in an image forming apparatus for use in a copying machine or the like. The reinforcing member has a thermal expansion coefficient approximating that of a mirror substrate. It is good that the reinforcing member 34 and the light reflecting mirror 21 are stuck by a stretch double-sided adhesive tape 24. It is good that the reinforcing member 34 and the light reflecting mirror 21 are caused to adhere to each other in a plurality of positions in the lengthwise direction.
