    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermocouple having a zero point compensation circuit in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This thermocouple is fundamentally in a constitution wherein ends 14, 16 of different kinds of metals are connected to form a loop, one metal is cut at the center, and a voltage is measured, whereby a voltage corresponding to a temperature difference of both ends is detected. A zero point compensation resistor R2 is set to a wiring 24 between one metal 1B and a voltage detection means 8, so that a voltage drop is not brought about at both ends at a first reference voltage, e.g. 0 deg.C, and the same voltage drop as a voltage at a joint of different kinds of metals to a second reference temperature is generated in an opposite direction at the second reference temperature different from 0 deg.C. As a result, a voltage V0 to which a voltage corresponding to a temperature at the compensation contact 16 is added is measured between cut points of one metal. A voltage Vr1 of the temperature measurement contact 14 is directly detected from an operational amplifier 8 which detects the voltage between cut points of the one metal.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the heater temperature accurately over a wide range by bonding the hot contact of a thermocouple to a heater, summing the detected outputs of temperature in the vicinity of a cold contact in order to temperature-compensate the thermoelectromotive force of the thermocouple and indicating the temperature compensated output. SOLUTION: Hot contact A of a thermocouple 26 is bonded by welding, for example, to a heater chip 18 and a thermoelectromotive force generated at a cold contact B is amplified through an amplifier 60. Temperature in the vicinity of the cold contact B is detected by a temperature sensor 62 and the detection voltage is added by an adder 64 to the output voltage from the amplifier 60 before being delivered to a multiplexer 56. The multiplexer 56 selects a signal indicative of the heater current from an integrator 48 and a signal indicative of the heater temperature from a temperature compensating section 58 while shifting the time and delivers the selected signals to a CPU through an A/D converter. Time variation of the detected heater temperature and heater current is presented on a display in the form of a chart. According to the method, heater temperature can be detected and controlled accurately even it the temperature at the cold contact B is varied.

SOLUTION: A terminal plate 1 comprising measurement terminals t0, t1-tn and a reference contact point temperature element 2, a memory 40 wherein a thermo-couple 5 for measuring reference temperature is connected to the measurement terminal t0 of the terminal plate 1 and an error ΔT0 between a temperature output Ta of the measurement terminal t0 and a temperature output Tc of the reference contact point temperature element 2 is stored at multiple specified temperatures, a calculation means 4 which performs error correction based on the error value stored in the memory 40 corresponding to the temperature output Tc of the reference contact point temperature element 2 when measurement is performed by connecting the measurement terminal t0 to the thermo-couple 5, are provided.
