    • PURPOSE: To obtain an air frame launcher which allows mounting an air frame having a diameter larger than a cylindrical member that contafins a plasma generator, has a simple construction, is easy to manufacture, can be made small-sized and Iightweight and permits cutting down production costs. CONSTITUTION: A plasma generator has an insulator 11 with a discharge chamber 18 inside, an earth electrode 15 installed in the discharge chamber 18, a central electrode 16, a fusible element 19 that is connected between the electrodes 18 and 19 and melts when energized, and a plasma forming member 24 that generates plasma when the fusible element 19 contained in the discharge chamnber 18 melts. A launching cylinder 26 is supported around the circumference of the plasma generator and an acting element 29 to increase the pressure of the plasma is contained in a housing space 28 provided at the front and in the lanching cylinder 26. An air frame 30 is integrally formed at the front end of the launching cylinder 26.

    • PURPOSE:To strongly shoot a bullet by small power by causing an induced explosion of addition water at the rear of the bullet with addition reactive substance with high temperature gas, shooting the bullet in an apparatus for shooting the bullet with the gas by chemical reaction. CONSTITUTION:A longitudinal cup-shaped conductive vessel 3 formed with a plurality of chambers 21a-21e at a plurality of partition plates 20a-20c and a bullet 8 is engaged with a cup-shaped wall 10 to be engaged with an inner wall of a front end 1b of a casing 1 made of a substantially cylindrical electric insulator. A basic reactive substance 11 is placed in the chamber 21a, and basic water 14 to be reacted with the substance 11 is put in a reaction chamber 13 between the wall 10 and the inner end surface 1b of the rear of the casing. Addition waters 14a, 14b are put in the chambers 21b, 21d, and addition reactive substance 11a, 11b are respectively placed in the chambers 21c, 21e. The water 14 is evaporated by energizing a heating wire 5 to damage the bottom of the vessel with the vapor pressure, and explosions at totally three stages are caused to shoot the bullet 8.

    • PURPOSE:To accelerate a projectile much more and miniaturize an engine by a method wherein a branch electrode is provided at the side of the muzzle of one rail between a pair of accelerating rails provided in a launching unit to permit the igniting of a ramjet engine through the branch electrode upon accelerating the ramjet projectile electromagnetically. CONSTITUTION:When a ramjet projectile 10 is loaded into a launching passage 3 and, thereafter, a switch 6 is put ON, electric current is conducted through an annular solid armature 15 whereby the ramjet projectile 10 is accelerated electromagnetically. In this case, a through-hole 20 is formed in the projectile 10 from a suction hole 14 to an injection hole 13 and, therefore, the flow speed of air flowing through the through-hole 20, becomes about Mach 7-8 substantially the same as the speed of the projectile. Thereafter, when the projectile 10 is contacted with an initiating electrode 16 through the branch electrode 7 when the projectile 10 leaves the muzzle 3a of the rail gun 4, the excessive energy of a power supply 5 is thrown into a conductive phase 17 to explode it whereby solid fuel 12 is ignited. Then, a ramjet engine, operated by the solid fuel 12, is started and the projectile 10 is accelerated additionally.

    • PURPOSE:To increase a launching speed of a missile without increasing a size of an apparatus and capacity of a power source by forming an inner wall of an arcing chamber of the same material as that of a plasma producer or a material capable of producing a plasma together with the producer. CONSTITUTION:A hollow cylinder 22 is interposed between an arcing chamber 10 and a porcelain cylinder 50. The cylinder 22 is formed of the same as that of a plasma producer 12 or a material capable of producing a plasma together with the producer such as polyethylene material, polypropylene material. When the producer 12 is decomposed to produce the plasma, a plasma is produced together in the cylinder 22. This is equivalent to the fact that the cylinder 50 is reduced in thickness without increasing an entire apparatus and the producer 12 is filled in larger amount than that of a conventional apparatus. Thus, pressure of the plasma is increased, and a launching speed of a missile is increased larger than that of the conventional apparatus.

    • PURPOSE:To generate a convergent wave having a fast propagating speed by providing a flier for forming a disc shape for splitting a disc-shaped space in a pressure holding vessel, and charging a disc-shaped or a circular bursting charge at one side of the flier. CONSTITUTION:When a copper fine wire 19c is energized to simultaneously planely explode bursting charge 17 at its peripheral edge, the charge 17 is sequentially exploded from its peripheral edge toward its center, and a disc-shaped flier 16 made of a synthetic resin thin plate is sequentially deformed from its peripheral edge to its center toward a surface side of a lower side vessel forming member 12. Thus, a shock wave to be propagated and converged from a periphery of a space 18 toward its center to generate a shock wave, which raises gas of the space 18 to a high temperature (20,000-30,000 deg.C), to a high pressure and generates plasma in the gap by self-amplifying operation. When the shock wave reaches a center of the convergent space 18, it is reflected by a reflecting member 15 to pressurize a flying unit by breaking an aluminum foil 14d to fly it along a launching tube 3.
