    • PURPOSE:To relieve the stress on a stub by a method wherein the inside diameter of a tube plate hole is made smaller than that of a heating tube, the inside diameter of a stab on the side of a fluid chamber is made equal to that of the tube plate hole, and the inside diameter of the stub on the heat exchanging chamber side is made equal to that of the heating tube, and the inside shape of the stab is formed into a tapered shape wherein the inside diameter thereof gradually decreases from the heat exchanging chamber toward the fluid chamber. CONSTITUTION:The hole diameter of a tube plate hole 7 provided in a tube plate body 1 is made smaller than the inside diameter of a heating tube 6, for example, the hole diameter of the hole 7 is set at about 1/3-1/10 of the inside diameter of the tube 6. The inside diameter of each st!Hb 8 on the side of a fluid chamber 4 is made equal to that of the hole 7. Further, the inside diameter of the stab 8 on the side of a heat exchanging chamber 5 is made equal to that of the tube 6. The internal shape of each stub 8 is formed into a tapered shape so that the inside diameter thereof gradually decreases from the chamber 5 toward the chamber 4, and taper angle is in the range of 15 deg.-30 deg..

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the heat exchanger having high efficiency which keeps airtight at a high temperature under high pressure and preheats air, etc. with waste gas from a furnace by connecting upper and lower metallic wind boxes by means of tile tubes. CONSTITUTION:Holes 6, 6' into which intermittent torus-shaped flanges 3 for tile tubes 1 are inserted are formed to upper blind plates 4 and lower blind plates 5 mounted to upper wind boxes A and lower metallic wind boxes B. Expansive packings 8 such as ceramics fibers, etc. are inserted into continuous torus-shaped flanges 2 for the tile tubes 1, and passed through the upper holes 6, and clamping metallic fittings 9 are and fitted to continuous torns-shaped flanges 3 for the tile tubes 1, penetrated into the lower holes 6'. The tile tubes 1 are twisted to bayonet shapes, the projections of the lower flanges 3 and the recessed sections of the lower blind plates 5 are connected, upper and lower clamping rings 7, 7' are welded putting packings 8, 8' between the blind plates, and the clamping metallic fittings 9 are welded to the lower blind plates 5. Thus, the heat exchanger consisting of the tile tubes is obtained which keeps airtight at high temperature under high pressure and has high efficiency.
