摘要： PURPOSE:To cool the inside of a gaseous atmosphere furnace in a short period of time by heat-treating a work in a heating chamber disposed in furnace body having a water-cooled wall structure, then opening and closing the door of the heating chamber according to the temp. of the space in the furnace body. CONSTITUTION:The heating chamber 4 consisting of adabatic heating insulating walls 2 is disposed in the furnace body 1 having the water-cooled wall structure. The heating chamber 4 is heated by heaters 6 in the gaseous atmosphere, by which the work is heat-treated. The temp. of the space 10 between the heating chamber 4 and the furnace body 1 is measured with a temp. sensor 11, etc., upon ending of the heat treatment in the above-mentioned gaseous atmosphere furnace. A switchgear for a cylinder 5, etc., is controlled by a controller 12 according to the temp. difference between this temp. and a set value to open and close a door 3 of the heating chamber 4. The rapid cooling of the gaseous atmosphere furnace is executed in this way.
