摘要： PURPOSE:To make a ball valve adaptable even to a high-pressure gas appliances and others by sealing up between the projected spherical surface of a stem to rotate a ball valve body and the inside of a valve frame by means of a previously pressed seal ring for ensuring the seal of the stem. CONSTITUTION:A flange 4 is projected on the lower part of a stem 3; its upper side is shaped into a spherical face 4a, and its under side into a flat face perpendicular to the stem 3. On this under side, an elastic pushing means 5 is arranged to provide an upward pushing force. On the spherical face 4a, a seal ring 6 is arranged and held down by a ring holder 7 from above. In this construction, the seal ring 6 is pushed from above and below by the ring holder 7 and the elastic pushing means 5, and stuck fast to the spherical face 4a and the inside of a valve frame 8. Consequently, both sealing faces are surely applied to the seal ring by pressure for ensuring the sealing for the stem 3.
