      SOLUTION: This torque variation reducing structure for the multi-link engine 100 includes an upper link 13, a lower link 14, and a control link 15. The upper link 13 is formed with a piston pin support portion 13A supporting a piston pin 16, an upper pin support portion 13B supporting an upper pin 17, and a connection 13C connecting the piston pin support portion 13A and upper pin support portion 13B. The width of the connection 13C when viewed in a crankshaft direction is formed wider than the maximum width of at least one support portion of the two support portions 13A, 13B when viewed in the crankshaft direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder device capable of freely transmitting force not only in the direction of traveling straight to the axis of a cylinder tube but also in all directions.
      SOLUTION: The cylinder device comprises the cylinder tube, a piston slidably incorporated in the cylinder tube, a piston rod having one end fixed to the piston and the other end protruded from an opening portion at the end of the cylinder tube, and a tube connected to the end of the cylinder tube from which the piston rod is protruded, so that the piston rod is slidable inside. The flexible and strong piston rod is such that a metal rod body is arranged inside a hollow portion of a resin cylindrical body into one unit. The tube connected thereto to cover the piston rod is freely direction-deformable while maintaining a certain shape.
