    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which has good power transmission efficiency and dynamic balancing and is suitable for high speed driving in a crank device which conducts power conversion between a reciprocating linear motion and a rotational motion. SOLUTION: An outer circumference of an epicyclic gear 21 of an epicyclic mechanism 4 is made half of an inside diameter of a fixed inner gear 20, a crank pin 12 of a crank shaft 2 is pivotally-connected to the rotational center of one side surface of the epicyclic gear 21 so that the crank pin may rotate, and a connecting rod 3 is pivotally-connected to a gear pin 24 which is protrudingly-fitted on the other side surface of the outer circumference of the epicyclic gear 21 so that the connecting rod 3 may rotate. Therefore, the connecting rod 3 conducts a linear motion in the reciprocating direction of a piston 15 without oscillating, thus ensuring a stable dynamic balancing. Furthermore, the mass distribution of respective components is set so as to achieve the dynamic balancing between a reciprocating motion part and a rotating motion part, thus ensuring uniform and stable motion from a low speed rotating range to a high speed rotating range.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a compression ratio of an internal combustion engine to be changed without making the device complex, but by a simple mechanism.SOLUTION: This invention provides a piston 10 comprising: a piston base part 20 having a piston boss part 25; a piston moving part 30 having a piston head 36 and movable in a stroke direction with respect to the piston base part 20; magnets 51, 52 arranged at the piston base part 20 and the piston moving part 30, respectively; and a magnetic force adjusting mechanism 60 making variable repelling force in the stroke direction under a magnetic force between the magnets 51, 52. Since a positional relation between the piston base part 20 and the piston moving part 30 in a stroke direction can be determined by the repelling force under an action of magnetic force, adjustment of the repelling force enables a compression ratio of an internal combustion engine to be variable. Adjustment of the repelling force between the magnets 51, 52 enables their repelling force to be easily changed by increasing or decreasing a distance between the opposing magnetic poles of the magnets 51, 52.
