    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lubricate a gear for a tool holder and others over a long period. SOLUTION: A lubricating oil reserving chamber 8 is formed over the centerline of the shaft 2 of the gear, and a spiral groove 8a in a direction reverse to the rotating direction of the shaft is formed in the inside wall surface of the reserving chamber. An oil passage 11 radially extending from the inside of the reserving chamber to the outer peripheral surface of the shaft is formed at one end of the reserving chamber in the direction that a lubricating oil is fed through the spiral groove according to the rotation of the shaft. A collar 9 is brought into contact with the end face of the gear in the direction that the lubricating oil is fed through the spiral groove according to the rotation of the shaft, and an oil sump groove 12 extending from the bottom to the top of the teeth of the gear is formed in the contact surface of the collar on the end face of the gear. The lubricating oil in the reserving chamber moves from the oil passage into the oil sump groove according to the rotation of the gear and further moves gradually from the inside of the oil sump groove to the bottom of the teeth of the gear.
