    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjustable-speed submerged electric agitator capable of always keeping agitation flow velocity in an agitation tank almost constant while being continuously worked, even if the agitation tank has a large water- level fluctuating width, being efficient due to low waste of energy, and capable of saving electric power consumption to be low in running cost. SOLUTION: An adjustable-speed submerged electric agitator is provided with a plurality of water level sensors 2 which are arranged so as to gradually sense water-level fluctuation in an agitation tank 1, a control device 3 which receives a receiving signal from one of the water level sensors 2, which sensed the water level in the tank, and sends a control signal to an inverter 5 so as to get the number of rotations approximate to a corresponding point on a preset operation curve, an inverter 5 which receives the control signal from the control device 3 to supply a frequency source corresponding to the signal, a submersible motor 6 which receives the frequency source from the inverter 5 and rotates at the number of rotations corresponding to the water-level fluctuation in the agitation tank 1, and agitating vanes 7 which are fitted to the derived end of the rotary shaft of the submersible motor 6 to rotate.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wave making apparatus by which a precise waveform can be generated, by a method wherein a connecting rod which maintains a rectilinear reciprocating motion and a wave making plate are connected by a flexible joint, and the height of the connection point of both is made always constant. SOLUTION: A driving motor 101 in a driving mechanism K is driven, and a ball screw 102 is turned forward and reversely. Then, a linear way 107 is moved rectilinearly back and forth along a linear guide 103. By its movement, a connecting rod 301 is moved rectilinearly back and forth while its horizontal state is being maintained. The connection point S of the connecting rod 301 connected by a flexible joint F to a wave making plate 106 is moved rectilinearly back and forth on the same plane as the connecting rod 301. At the same time, a sliding bar at the tip of the connecting rod 301 is slid at the inside of a sliding groove. The wave making plate 106 is rocked and moved around a joint 109. As a result, the rotation of the driving motor 101 is converted into the reciprocating motion of the wave making plate 106, and waves W are generated. In this manner, when the height of the connection point S is made always constant, a precise waveform can be generated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a required wave motion for a shallow sea area water tank by providing a false bottom on a bottom part of a water tank in front of the wave making flap while a wave motion toward the front of a wave making flap is generated following a reciprocation of the flap. SOLUTION: A plurality of wave making flaps 2 are hinged by each lower end part with a hinge 3 to a bottom part 21 of a water tank 20 so as to be aligned transversely. By normal/reverse rotation of an AC motor 6 on a frame *22 which is provided on the top of the water tank 20 while protruded, each wave making flap is reciprocated at a specified phase in a specified direction, through a ball screw 5 and a rod 4, so that wave is generated on a water surface W. Though the wave motion is generated by the reciprocation of the flap 2, a false bottom 1 is provided to a water tank in front of the flap 2, so that a required wave motion is generated in a shallow sea area test, too. Since a column 9 of the false bottom 1 is installed near the flap as possible while fitted to a maximum inclination of the flap, the made wave is transmitted to the shallow sea area without wastage, so that wave making is efficiently performed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize correct wave making action by appropriately adding wave dissipating material to a frame for supporting a driving means for wave making flaps in a device for generating waves to the water surface in a testing water tank or the like. SOLUTION: A driving means (motor) 4 for reciprocating wave making flaps 1 piercing the water surface W is installed on a frame 6, and the frame 6 is equipped with wave dissipating material 5 on the inside opened toward the wave making flaps 1 in such a way as to almost cover the fluctuating range of the water surface W. Front side wave dissipating material 5a is provided at the upper part front face of the frame 6. Waves proceeding to the rear from the wave making flaps 1 are thus absorbed by the wave dissipating material 5, 5a. The generation of reflected waves caused by the frame 6 is thereby suppressed, and desired waves proceeding to the front from the wave making flaps 1 are correctly generated.
