摘要： PURPOSE:To prepare the title gas suitable for practical use from an org. substance as industrial waste through utilization of geothermal energy, by maintaining an org. substance, such as biomass, at a particular temp. for a long period of time through utilization of an underground heat source to conduct hydrothermal decomposition. CONSTITUTION:An organic substance, such as biomass, wood chip, or paper which has hitherto been treated as industrial wastes, is fed through a starting material charging tube 3 into a reaction zone formed by inserting a casing pipe 2 from the ground surface 1 until the casing pipe reaches a deep hot water source as an underground heat source. The organic substance is maintained at 100-350 deg.C for a long period of time with high-temp. and high-pressure hot water from a broken zone 8 in a nonoxidizing atmosphere (e.g., deaerated underground hot water), thereby bringing about hydrothermal decomposition. The formed gas-contg. gas and the residue are pumped up with a pump 9. The hot water from which the gas and residue have been separated is passed through a water injection pipe 6 and a well pipe 7 and returned into the ground, thereby obtaining the title gas.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new oligomer, comprising a phosphonated oligomer of maleic acid having a specific structure and useful as a component, etc., of a water treating agent capable of preventing the surface of a metal, e.g. iron from forming scales thereon or corroding with a water system such as boiler water. SOLUTION: This new phosphonated oligomer of maleic acid is represented by the formula [M is a cation so as to provide a soluble product; (n) is a larger value than 1] and is useful for the production, etc., of a water treating agent, a detergent composition, etc., capable of preventing the surface of a metal, e.g. iron from forming scales or corroding with a water system such as cooling water, process water, demineralization plant water and water used or produced in oil fields. The oligomer is produced by adding an aqueous solution containing maleic acid and sodium hydroxide to an aqueous solution containing H3 PO4 . and sodium hydroxide under stirring and refluxing, further dropping an aqueous solution of ammonium persulfate thereto and carrying out a reaction under heating.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a method for preventing soluble heavy metal pollution material existing in a stratum or submarine layer including carbonate from being fluidized again by groundwater by stabilizing the soluble heavy metal pollution material using calcium chloride water solution. CONSTITUTION: This method includes a step to introduce calcium chloride water solution including a stabilized volume of calcium ions into a layer including carbonate. By forming copercipitation materia which is hardly soluble in fluid in the layer from a reaction of the pollution material and carbonate to calcium ions, re-fluidization of the heavy metal pollution material by groundwater can be prevented.
