摘要： A screening device comprises a generally cylindrical, horizontally disposed chamber within which is provided a rotatable cleaning member. The rotatable cleaning member comprises a plurality of radial blades tipped with flexible webs and/or brushes to make a seal to the walls of the chamber. The chamber has an inlet in one side and a screened outlet in a lower portion of the second side. Flow of liquid, e.g. wastewater, from inlet to the screened outlet drives the rotatable cleaning device to rotate. The rotatable cleaning device thereby sweeps debris off the screen panel and returns it to the main flow through the inlet.

SOLUTION: The sieving apparatus comprises a chamber having a nearly cylindrical shape and horizontally disposed and a rotatable cleaning member is prepared in the chamber. The rotatable cleaning member comprises a plurality of inclined and radial blades having flexible webs and/or brushes to form a seal to the wall of the chamber. The chamber has an inlet on one side and an outlet with a screen at the lower part on the other second side. The flow of the fluid, e.g. the flow of the wastewater, from the inlet to the outlet with the screen drives and rotates the rotatable cleaning member. Thus, foreign matters are discharged from a screen panel and the wastewater returns through the inlet to the main flow, in the rotatable cleaning apparatus.
