    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fabricate a flat or centripetal screen by sequentially inserting and fixing many bar members into the laterally open recesses of bar support members in a substantially axially parallel arrangement relative to one another. SOLUTION: This method for fabricating a flat or centripetal screen comprises sequentially inserting many bar members 3 into the laterally open recesses 4 of a pair of bar support members 2a so that the bar members are arranged in substantially axially parallel arrangement relative to one another, and then bending the bar support members 2a from the initial state to a final state wherein the longitudinal edge has a final radius of curvature larger than the initial radius of curvature such that the open recesses 4 are sufficiently closed to exert a clamping force upon the bars due to plastic deformation of the bar support members 2a. Each of the bar support members includes the laterally open recesses provided along a longitudinal edge of the bar support member 2a. In an initial state in which it is not subject to any tensions, the longitudinal edge has an initial radius of curvature such that the laterally open recesses 4 are open sufficiently to receive the bars in the initial state in order to provide a screen shell.

    • PURPOSE:To prepare a high-quality fiber for paper making from a raw material obtained by coarsely breaking waste paper containing small pieces of plastic film, aluminum foil, etc., while saving energy. CONSTITUTION:A raw material obtained by coarsely breaking waste paper is supplied to the first separator 31 equipped with a perforated plate having many holes of a suitable diameter corresponding to the degree of fine selection and with a screen having slits of a suitable size and the fibers allowed to pass through the screen are recovered. The material not allowed to pass through the holes of the perforated plate is supplied to the second separator 32 equipped with a perforated plate having many holes of a suitable diameter and the material not allowed to pass through the holes is discharged. The paper stock allowed to pass through the holes of the second separator and the material not allowed to pass through the screen of the first separator are supplied to the third separator 33 equipped with a screen having slits of a size almost same as that of the first separator. The material not allowed to pass through the slits is discharged and the fibers allowed to pass through the slits are recovered and supplied together with the fibers recovered by the first separator to next process.
