The valve plate 42 includes: a first position T which defines a first throat in the flow passage 40 and a second position T which defines a second throat having a smaller cross-sectional area than the first throat.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously cooking, increasing heat economy and obtaining high quality pulp.
      SOLUTION: The method of continuous cooking of chemical pulp comprises a impregnation vessel 101 and a digester 102.
