SOLUTION: In a double chain stitch sewing machine provided with a needle bar vertical movement mechanism 5 for moving a needle bar 4 back and forth in a vertical direction linked with the rotation of the sewing machine main shaft 2 and a looper swing movement mechanism 7 for moving a looper 6 in a prescribed elliptic track linked with the rotation of the sewing machine main shaft, a spangle send-out device 26 for sending out the spangles 22 to a needle location position one by one by the drive of a stepping motor 25 is attached, and a rotation detector 27 for making an ON signal flow at the optional angle of one rotation 360° of a sewing machine motor is attached. The power source of the sewing machine motor is turned ON, a needle 3 attached to the lower end of the needle bar 4 reaches a bottom dead point of needle location, the time is defined as an origin, and the stepping motor 25 is driven and the spangles 22 are sent out simultaneously with some numbered ON operation of the rotation detector 27 from the origin. Spacer blocks 20, 21 fixed to the rear ends of sandwich plates 17, 18 are formed with each of two sets of four female threads, respectively. Each of the sandwich plates 17, 18 is connected to the connector 19 through a pair of longitudinal holes 19d, 19e, respectively. Then, it is possible that fixing positions of the sandwich plates 17, 18 can independently be adjusted in a lateral direction according to the type of binder used (binder for both edges, binder for one edge) through a mere loosening of a plurality of fastening bolts 22.
