摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the recognition and separation of a foreign substance to be improved especially simply in the method and apparatus for recognizing and separating the foreign substance in a spinning-preparing machine.
SOLUTION: The method for recognizing the foreign substance in a fiber material taken out from a fiber bale by a bale opener is carried out by installing optical sensor systems 15 and 16 for recognizing the foreign substance, arranging a separator for separating the foreign substance at the rear part thereof, and linking the optical sensor systems with the separator through an image-treating device 32 and a controller. The image treating device 32 detects the brightness and/or color of the opened fiber material, and the brightness of the foreign substance in the inside of the opened fiber material, compares the measured value of the brightness and/or the color of the fiber material with the measured value of the brightness of the foreign substance, and carries out a switching operation and/or displaying when the value exceeds a threshold value.
