    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorption tower which can efficiently recover iodine.SOLUTION: An adsorption tower is provided with a bottom-closed cylindrical adsorption tower body 2 which has a vertical direction and where an iodine ion solution is supplied from its lower part and a strongly basic anion exchange resin is supplied from its upper part. Perforated plates 31 are installed so as to vertically partition the inside of the adsorption tower body 2. The perforated plate 31 has a plurality of through holes 33 having a hole diameter of 5 mm or more and 15 mm or less and an opening ratio of 30% or more and 70% or less. The perforated plate 31 is provided with a short orifice pipe 34 having an internal diameter of 15 mm or more and 25 mm or less and an orifice diameter of 5 mm or more and 15 mm or less. The short orifice pipe 34 allows simultaneous passing through of the strongly basic anion exchange resin in an iodine adsorbing state and the iodine ion solution. The through hole 33 is installed with a dispersion nozzle 35 which allows passing through of the iodine ion solution and prevents passing through of the strongly basic anion exchange resin.
