    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position with precision the tip of a robot arm once roughly positioned in front of a fuel feed port to the feed port. SOLUTION: An automatic fuel feeder comprises a reference-position guide means to guide a vehicle having entered a service station to a reference position; a robot arm 22 having at its tip an opening/closing arm 23 for opening or closing the lid of a fuel feed port and a fuel feed nozzle 24, both alternately positioning with each other on a reference axis; a card reader device 20 for reading in intrinsic data of an IC card Y; a monitor camera 17 for image analysis of the positional relation between the vehicle and the robot arm; a positional- relation grasping means 3 to grasp the positional relation between the feed port and the robot arm tip on the basis of the intrinsic data and image analysis; a rough-positioning means 25 to position the robot arm tip roughly; a precision- positioning means 26 to position the robot arm tip to the feed port with precision; a fuel-feed robot actuator means 4 to actuate the robot arm; and a settling means 32 to demand the settlement of the charge for fuel feeding.
