    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical assembly type coffin which is light in weight and has no problem even when there is moisture.SOLUTION: A coffin includes a lid body 20 and a box body 10, and for the box body 10, a side plate 14 and an end plate 15 configuring a peripheral wall 13 are formed of air expansion bodies to be expanded by injection of air. The upper end and the lower end of the peripheral wall 13 are fixed to wooden upper frame 11 and bottom plate 12, respectively. Then, the lid body 20 is constituted of a wooden lid frame 21 to be abutted on an upper frame 11, and an upper plate 22 formed of an air expansion body. The air expansion body of the peripheral wall 13 and the upper plate 22 is provided with a plurality of communicated tubular air chambers 13a and 13b to be expanded to have a diameter of 15-30 mm by being filled with air.
