SOLUTION: A box (2) is packaged with a transparent film sheet (3) by a first conveyor (13) that can be rotated around its axis (15). A holding mechanism (32) supports the box held between a pair of jaws (45) and folds the sheet (3). A clip (41) grips and hold one end of the sheet (3), suction holes (36a, 58) suck the other free end of the sheet (3) and retains it. Thus, complete control is maintained when the box (2) is transferred to a second conveyor (19) for completing packaging.

In this case, a plurality of portions 18, 19 of the sheet 6 are first folded by a folding unit 35. Then a fixed folding device 34 folds the first portion 18. Subsequently, a movable folding device 35 folds the second portion 19 onto an overlapping portion on the top of the first portion 18.
