摘要： PURPOSE:To ventilate ballast tanks rapidly in a simple way by blowing ventilating air into the ballast tanks from ventilating air piping through a ballast water filling-discharge pipe, and exhausting air containing oil gas in the ballast tanks from ventilating holes. CONSTITUTION:A double-hull tanker is provided with cargo oil tanks 1 and a ballast tanks 2. There is also provided inert gas piping 3 for feeding the exhaust gas of a boiler 6 to the cargo oil tanks 1 by a fan 7 so as to suppress internal oxygen density to the explosion limit or less. There is further provided a ballast water filling-discharge pipe 5 for filling sea water into the ballast tanks 2 and discharging the ballast water from a bell-mouth 9 in association with the driving of a pump 8. In such a constitution, the inert gas piping 3 and the ballast water filling-discharge pipe 5 are connected to each other by ventilating air piping 4a, whereas another ventilating air piping 4b is connected to an intermediate part between the boiler 6 and fan 7 in the inert gas piping 3.
