    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the maximum lateral pressure of outer track wheels of a two axle truck for a railroad vehicle when passing a curve line and to prevent deterioration in safety of inner track wheels rather than a conventional truck.SOLUTION: The single axle steering truck steers only one of a front side wheel axle in a traveling direction and a rear side wheel axle in the traveling direction of the two axle truck. When passing the curve line, the incremental modulus of the steering amount with respect to the theoretical steering amount when the steering amount is 100% which is represented by β/{sin(a sin α/L)}×100, wherein β denotes the steering angle of the wheel axle, a denotes an axle distance, α denotes a boggy angle (a relative angle of the truck and a vehicle body at the curve line), L denotes a distance between the centers of the trucks, is adjusted within a range of not less than -10% to not more than 44%. In the single axle steering truck for the railroad vehicle for steering only one of the front axle and the rear axle, the lateral pressure acting on the outer track wheels is reduced when traveling on the curve line so as to avoid occurrence of derailment of the inner track wheels, thus, improving safety when passing the curve line.
