    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a windshield opening/closing device of a construction machine, which utilizes a restoring force of a spiral spring as an assisting force in the opening of the windshield, and which can reduce a space necessary for the deformation of the spiral spring for accumulating the restoring force.
      SOLUTION: A guide roller 10, which is provided at the upper end of the side portion of the windshield 4b, is composed of a pinion. A rack 12a meshing with the guide roller 10 (the pinion) is laid in the guide groove 12 into which the guide roller 10 is inserted. The upper end of the side portion of the windshield 4b is provided with a wrapping shaft 18 around which the spiral spring 15 is wound by its restoring force, and a winding shaft 19 around which the spiral spring 15 is wound from the side of the wrapping shaft 18 along with the rolling of the guide roller 10 on the guide groove 12 when the windshield 4b moves in a closing direction. A laying range of the rack 12a is set so that the guide roller 10 can roll on the rack 12a until the windshield 4b is fully opened from a closed state.
