    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly prevent a workpiece from falling down, when support of the workpiece is passed between a punch and fingers of a transfer device.
      SOLUTION: In a cam press machine, one ascending cam and a pair of machining cams, between which the ascending cam is arranged, are provided in parallel. For the pair of the machining cams, there is formed a dwell section S2 in which moving of a slide (a punch) is temporarily halted nearly at a pass line PL after the slide reaches the top dead center position and before the slide starts machining of the workpiece. For the ascending cam, there is formed a dwell section S3 in which moving of the slide (a punch) is temporarily halted nearly at the pass line PL after the punch reaches the bottom dead center position and comes out of the cavity of a die. During the time when moving of the slide (a punch) is halted in the dwell section S2 and a dwell section T3, passing of the workpiece is carried out while supporting the workpiece together with the punch and the fingers.

SOLUTION: The pressurizing mechanism of the press machine M1 comprises the boosting mechanism of which the lever ratio is variable with a four-node linkage formed among an L-type arm 40, a machine frame 10, a driving lever 20 and a connecting lever 30. External force works on one end of the driving lever so that the driving lever rotates by a specified range of angle α with the second fulcrum A as the center. This drives the pressurizing mechanism so that a working section 41 presses a workpiece W.
