    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck unit which improves worker's visibility, and surely returns a swing pipe, which is pushed against the biased force of an elastic element associated with the movement of a driver bit, to a normal position.
      SOLUTION: In the chuck unit 1, a coil spring 11 for biasing the swing pipe 10 is wound around the swing pipe 10. Therefore, an overhang portion of the chuck unit 1 can be reduced in size, and the worker's visibility of an object to be fastened can be improved in the case where the chuck unit 1 is attached to a front edge of a hand screw driver 50 or the like for use.

      SOLUTION: The screwing device 30 is equipped with: a driver 1 having a bit 4 for screwing; a vertical moving means 2 to elevate and sink the driver; a screw holding mechanism to hold the screw 9; and a bearing mechanism 7 arranged at the bit. The screw holding mechanism is furnished with: a pair of mutually confronting screw holding members 6 each having a convex 16a in its over-part and opening and closing freely in the direction perpendicular to the driver elevating/sinking directions; and a resilient piece to energize the screw holding members in the closing direction, while the bearing mechanism has in its under-part a recess 8b to be fitted on the convex and is arranged unmovable in the axial direction of the bit and rotatable in its circumferential direction, and the bit holds the screw during sinking and opens the screw holding members against energization of the resilient piece, protrudes downward from the screw holding members, and performs screw driving and fastening in the condition that the recess 8b is fitted in the convex 16a.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a sucking mechanism capable of preventing a screw from dropping out of the tip of a screw guide and strongly sucking and holding the screw in the stable attitude. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical screw guide 4 is provided such that a driver bit 5 can be inserted through the inside of the cylindrical screw guide. A sucking mechanism 15 is constituted to suck air from the bore of the screw guide 4 and suction hold a headed rod-like member near the tip of the screw guide 4. A magnet 6 is disposed in a position in which the insertion of the driver bit 5 through the screw guide 4 in such sucking mechanism 1 is not hindered. Thus, since the screw guide 4 is magnetized by a magnet 6, the sucking and attracting force of air an magnetic force act on headed rod-like member on the tip of the screw guide 4 so that a screw can be prevented from dropping out of the tip of the screw guide 4.
