    • PURPOSE: To improve the drawing performance of a steel wire, also working life of a die, productivity and quality of a drawn wire by making the drawing part of die, inlet part of die and outlet part of die of a diamond die into a suitable structure for drawing the steel wire and raising the performance of wire drawing, introducing property of a lubricating liquid and dischargeability of the lubricating liquid and transformed matter. CONSTITUTION: In the diamond die 10 for drawing the steel wire (a), the reduction angle 3γ in the wire drawing parts 3, 4 of die are formed at 11π2 deg. and also the ratio L/D of the bearing length L in the wire drawing parts 3, 4 of die to the bearing diameter D is formed into 0.4±1. In this diamond die 10, the bell angle 1α is formed at 90±10 deg. and also the approach angle 2β in the inlet parts 1, 2 of die is formed at 45±5 deg.. Further, the back angle 5θ in the outlet parts 5, 6 of die is formed at 30±5 deg. and also the back relief angle 6ψ in the outlet parts 5, 6 of die is formed at 90±10 deg..

    • PURPOSE:To form fins in the desired position of a tube by juxtaposing a die for forming a finned part and a die for forming a non-finned part in an extruding direction. CONSTITUTION:A die 3 for forming a finned part and a die 4' for forming a non-finned part on the rear side of an extruding direction are dividedly retreated and a die 4 for forming a non-finned part on the front side of the extruding direction is joined thereto. A mandrel 6 is inserted into a blank material and the blank material is pushed in the arrow direction to form the cylindrical non- finned part at the front end of a tube 1. The die 4 is then retreated and the die 3 is joined thereto. The finned part projected with fins 2 on the outside circumference of the tube 1 is formed by the die 3 in succession to the non-finned part. The die 3 is finally retreated and the die 4' for forming the non-finned part on the rear side is joined thereto to form the cylindrical non-finned part at the rear end of the tube 1. The finned tube which is not projected with the fins 2 at both ends of the tube 1 is thus formed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a metallic double wall pipe, in which surface pressure can be generated on the interface between an internal pipe and an external pipe of the metallic double wall pipe obtained.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a metallic double wall pipe 1 in which the external surface of the internal pipe 12 is in contact with the internal surface of the external pipe 11 by cold drawing using a tapered die 2 as a working die. In the manufacturing method, the internal pipe 12 is processed by polishing its external surface in advance so that an arithmetic average roughness Ra (Ra1) (JIS B 0601) of the external surface is controlled to 2.3 to 5.0 μm and then drawn without using a plug. The external pipe 11 used is processed by polishing its internal surface in advance so that the internal surface has an arithmetic average roughness Ra (Ra2) of ≤5.0 μm, and an f value defined by equation (1):f=(Ra1+1)×(Ra2+1) is adjusted to ≥6.
