    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and classify papers with weak bending recovery being the cause of a trouble in order to prevent the trouble from being generated when simultaneous transferring processing of a number of kinds of papers is made at higher velocity. SOLUTION: This mechanism comprises a transferring passage 1 for transferring papers such as mail matter, a roller 2, a roller 3 and a roller 4 arranged in such a way that the ends of the papers tends to return to their original condition when the ends are made free under a condition where the apex of the papers are pinched, a free space 7 constituted by the rollers 2, 3 and 4, and a position-detecting sensor 5 for detecting whether or not the ends of papers pass through a definite position on the free space and the strength of elasticity of the papers is judged by detecting difference in passage through which the ends of the papers pass by ON/OFF of the position-detecting sensor 5.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a paper sheets conveyor mechanism that is able to prevent a paper jam from occurring by way of truing up the position of paper sheets in addition to removal of any foreign matter getting mized in the paper sheets. CONSTITUTION:Each of conveyor rollers 7', 7 and so on of a paper sheets conveyor mechanism 1 consists of a roller body 17, a projection 19, a flange part 21, a roller shaft 23 and a pulley 25. Four sets of this projection 19 (as two-in-a-set) consisting of gum are installed in the roller 7. In addition, the flange part, 21 is installed almost in an end of this roller 17. This flange part 21 conduces to prevention against any contamination due to a fact that paper sheets 99 are held between rollers. This conveyor roller 7 is rotated and driven whenever a belt 29 to be stretched across the pulley 25 is driven with the roller shaft 23 extending over the whole width of this roller 7 as the pivot.
